President and CEO
David Lazarus is the President and Founder of the Lazarus Foundation. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he is one of twelve children. The Lazarus family has always been strong advocates for education and giving back to the community. After migrating to the United States, David served in the United States Marine Corps where the importance of discipline and education was again reinforced. As a result of his family’s influence and the United States Marine Corps, David believed that education and discipline are two primary keys to success. David believes that having a loving family is one of the greatest gifts of his life and for young people with little to no family or resources, they are the most vulnerable. Supporting them with an education will provide an opportunity for economic freedom and independence for a successful life. After his time in the US Marine Corp, David received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford and his Master;s degree from the American University, Washington, DC . His experience is with the US Armed Forces and law enforcement with the US Federal Government.
